historic building charm, proximity to public transport, ability to store luggage post checkout

Creaky floors and doors. The heating issues made my room uncomfortably chilly upon arrival!!! Shared bathrooms could use better maintenance for cleanliness and availability!!! The dated decor left much to be desired!!!

perfect central spot for exploring attractions and parks

the staff were friendly and helpful, and being just around 500 meters from the Walker Art Gallery and a short walk to the Royal Liver Building made it perfect for my weekend strolls in the city.

Extremely welcoming by staff, breakfast excellent. Location great for visit to Universities and city centre which is exactly what we did. Good value for money. Clean and tidy, soft towels!

Some communal areas a little dated. Would have preferred en-suite. However, extremely clean and room well equipped.

Central location; friendly, welcoming and helpful staff; small and quiet; good breakfast; clean; new shower room fittings etc. Overall good value in convenient area.

No restaurant (only breakfast served), but only 5 to 10 mins walk to reasonable selection of bistros, etc, found with advice from staff. Some tired decor but hotel seems to be under renovation.
